Use of weblogs in the classroom
In my courses students have to prepare for different fields of studies, i.e. they have to summarize newspaper articles -written or orally - about various topics, so with RSS feeds they can access the latest updates on e.g.: technology, education, humanities, business, social studies,...
The weblog can also be used as a course diary, there students can find the reviews of previous lessons and also previews for the next lessons.
For their exercises they can use the links that are posted in the weblog.
Furthermore, there should be sections for students' written exercises, for their comments and room for the latest on books, movies, music, etc.
A guideline section could help them to find information on how to write summaries, essays, stories, interviews, etc.
You can have a look at a first draft on SBP Swap English Ideas
or you can listen to our podcast channel there you can find the interviews on weblogs in education
